Las posturas del chévere y del “orador popular” en el habla popular cubana de hoy
This essay is about an ethnolinguistic study of two main attitudes of current Cuban spoken language: 1) the linguistic pose, adopted by the so-called chévere in Cuban society, which is the fruit of mixing between people of different social ranks, and, 2) the epic language into the speech of the so-called popular prayer. These linguistic attitudes have been studied in their causal-relation with the new pattern of “collectivism”, settled by Cuban Revolution as the “line-up way” for Cuban people since 1959. In order to go ahead with this study, I have taken in consideration my own experiences by the time in which I was student of the middle and high school. These experiences are been told by way of example of the educational system into the “escuelas en el campo” in Cuba.
